We are also specialists in THERMOGRAPHY or "raised" print typesetting.

TYPEFACES:
Typefaces are usually available in sizes ranging from 6 point to 72 point.
Caution: A type size cannot be measure from top to bottom. Some letters may not use the full point size. For example, a 12 point image may only be 10 points in height. Also letters within the same size type may vary in size if the font is different. All of the examples above are 12 point.

Words you may want to know:
Letterspacing - space between letters
Line spacing - space between lines
Serif - the letters contain small decorative lines as embellishment. Times New Roman is a serif font.
Sans serif - the letters have no serif (small decorative lines) and are usually even in weight throughout the letter.Arial Narrow is an example of Sans serif.

So What Is Typesetting?

Typesetting is the actual production of type. Some methods of typesetting include:
  • Cast metal (hot type)
  • Cold Type (typewriter or strike-on)
  • Photographic
  • Digital or digital imaging
Digital imaging creates type and images using dots on some type of substrate such as paper. Adobe's PostScriptâ produces digital type. Digital fonts are either: Postscript, Type 1, TrueType, or Bitmap.
